Stimulating sustained economic opportunities in villages

The overall objective of the Village entrepreneurship Project is to implement the African Impact’s mission to stimulate sustained economic opportunities and reduce poverty and unemployment in the villages by helping start and support rural enterprises in Africa.

The key objectives of the Village entrepreneurship project are:

  • To enable rural poor people to set up their own enterprises, by developing a sustainable model for Village Entrepreneurship promotion and tools for training and capacity building, enterprise advisory services, and providing micro seed credits.
  • To develop local resources by training a pool of village-level community mentors and build their capacity to monitor and direct the work of the African Impact in each Village.
  • To help rural entrepreneurs access finance for starting their enterprises from the Government Small business fundings mechanisms, the banking systems including credit unions.
